Down the river Irkut

Program of tour:
1 day
Arrival in Irkutsk. Meeting at the airport or railway station.
Transfer to the settlement Kultuk, located on the bank of Lake Baikal. Then we turn to the south towards the Mongolian boarder to the settlement of Mondy and further to the confluence of two rivers – Irkut and White Irkut where we’ll stay at the tent camp. It takes 6 hours to get this camp. 
Lunch – on the way.
Walk to the Okinskoye plateau. You’ll see amazing mountain tundra at the foot of the highest peak of Eastern Sayany mountain range. You can take photos of the snow mountains, mountain lakes and the blooming alpine meadows. Return back to our camp for dinner.

2 day

After breakfast our guides will tell you the information that beginners need to know before start of “whitewater” rafting. The head of Irkut River is situated in a narrow canyon with numerous river rapids. Lunch – on the wayAccommodation in double tents on the bank of the river just behind the Mondy village. Dinner.

3 day
Breakfast
Today is the most exciting part of our rafting trip. On a 20 km section there are a few rapids.
After lunch on the river bank our minibus will drive you to Sludyanka town, located on the bank of Lake Baikal. Accommodation in a guest house.

4 day

Early in the morning a small steam engine will take you on a 6 hour ride along the legendary Circum Baikal railroad  built in the end of XIX^th century.
This 84 kilometers-long railroad from Kultuk to port Baikal includes 39 tunnels with the total length of 8994 meters, 14 kilometers of supporting walls, 47 stone and 3 metal galleries.
At the settlement of Port of Baikal we’ll cross the river Angara by ferry
Accommodation in a local guest house in the settlement Listvyanka.
Dinner

Free time. Visit the museum of the Lake Baikal and Saint Nicholas church.
Lunch and dinner – in your own way.

6 day
Breakfast.
Transfer to the airport or railway station
