Arrival in Irkutsk. Meeting at the airport or railway station. Transfer to your guest house and accommodation.
Excursion program in the historical centre of Irkutsk.
You'll visit the place where 350 years ago Irkutsk was founded at the confluence of two Siberian rivers: Irkut and Angara. The place is framed by three churches, two of which are Russian orthodox and the third one is Roman Catholic.

Breakfast
In the morning we’ll drive 100 km southwards to the town of Slyadyanka, the starting point of our tour.
On the way: the village of Kultuk, the oldest Russian settlement at the Baikal Lake area.
The tourist trail follows the old road that runs along Sludyanka river valley to the Lazurite quarry. On the way we’ll cross the river a few times. Lunch.
Before it gets dark we’ll set up a tent camp on a picturesque meadow among relic cedars and poplar trees. Dinner

3 day
Breakfast
Climbing Mt. Cherskogo(2090 m). From the summit you will have a spectacular view over the southern extremity of Baikal Lake.
If the weather is fine you can even see the Sayan mountains that are located 150 km southward,  on the Russian Mongolian border.  After having a rest we’ll hike down to the creek valley and stop for lunch. Then we’ll go down the stream and get the Podkomarnaya river with its amazing waterfalls. Here we’ll enjoy swimming in the sparkling waterfalls.
Accommodation in  a tent camp near the waterfall.
Length of hiking is 18 km

4 day
Breakfast
Hiking down the river Podkomarnaya to the lower cascade of waterfalls.
From the waterfalls the trail goes a very thick forest that resembles a jungle. Your guide-interpreter will show you old bear traps and explain you the ancient ways of hunting of bears in Siberia. Lunch
After lunch we’ll cross a mountain ridge and find ourselves on an old forest road that 200 years ago used as a caravan trail for traders and merchants from China. Historically it was one of the main trade routes from Asia to the European part of Russia. Along this road we’ll go to the Sludyanka river.
Accommodation in a tent camp. Dinner
Length of hiking is 17  km.

5 day
Breakfast
Hiking to the town of Slyadyanka.
Transfer to Irkutsk. Lunch – is on the way. Accommodation in a guest house. Dinner – in your own way.

6 day
Breakfast.
Transfer to the airport or railway station
