Birdwatching Tours
The Urals are a relatively new region for bird-watching tours because few people in the Urals have been engaged in bird-watching as a hobby, despite active scientific research activity in that field.
Geographically the Urals are divided into five parts: Southern, Middle, Northern, Pre-Polar (the highest mountains) and Polar. In the Urals the Natural zones (from north to south) are: Arctic tundra, moss-lichen tundra, scrub-forest tundra, forest tundra, northern taiga, middle taiga, southern taiga, sub-taiga, forest-steppe, northern steppe, southern and dry steppe. This variety of habitat supports quite a variety of birds here (see bird list elsewhere on our website).
We organize bird watching tours primarily in National and Nature Parks of the Urals (there are more than 10 of them on the Urals, including the biggest in Europe National park “Yugyd-Va”). Some of our tours can be combined with rafting, horseback riding and caving trips.
