Visit the ancestral land of the Demidov’s - founders of the mining and metallurgical industries in the Urals.

Attractions: trip to the top of Lissiya (Fox) mountain where you can get a perfect view of the city and surrounding landscape; the famous deposit “Mednorudyanskoe” – deposit of Uralian malachite; picking up minerals (you can found out on the quarry’s dump specimens of malachite, chrysocolla, brochantite, martite, cuprite, pseudo-malachite, pyrolusite and quartz with hematite); the local lore museum, the Tagilsky Works Museum (industrial buildings and mechanisms of the 18^th - 20^th centuries); the main quarry at Vyusokogorsk (here is possible to discover specimens of magnetite, pyrite, tenorite, brochantite, pseudo-malachite, copper nuggets, fine pseudomorphoses of bright blue chrysocolla, which have distinctive bands of malachite).

Berezovsk’s gold mines - the first gold of Russia
Visit gold deposit of Berezovsk town, which is the native land of golden industry of Russia.
Duration: 5-7 hours

Attraction: Place of discovery of the first gold in Russia; monument to discoverer of gold; the museum “Gold and platinum in the Urals”; modern and old mines; mountain “Gold hill”, visit the mine (depth up to 8 m) and look at processes of extraction of rock crystal, picking up minerals, punning out gold. Buildings of the 18^th - 20^th centuries.

Attraction: Visiting of veins, where pink polychrome tourmalines are mined (picking up of samples of lepidolite, feldspar, beryl, quartz, and black tourmaline), Nickel quarries (picking up of samples of multi-coloured opals and chalcedonies, millerite, siderite, ophite, quartz, getite); manifestations of corundum (pink, blue and polychrome) in marble; Koltashinskie corundum placers (panning out of multi-colored corundum).

Visiting of the Mistress of Copper Mountain. Around Gumeshevskoe copper deposit

Attraction: the town Polevskoj, museum of local lore; Gumeshevskoe copper deposit – “the native land” of Uralian malachite; Mt. Azov – the highest top of this area, from which the picturesque view of Ural Mountains, the town Polevskoj opens;  placers of demantoids on rivers Poldnevaya and Bobrovka; gold placers on river Chusovaya and river Ryabinovka in environs of the town Polevskoj. Under legends the huge “Snake” was owner of all of local gold placers. The “Snake” protected gold of bad and greedy people and helped to find gold to poor ones.

“Murzinka Semi-precious Stone Band – Mineralogical Casket of the Urals”
Visit the mineralogical museum by A. Fersman in the village Murzinka. Visit old-time and modern mining-works of semi-precious stones - beryls, topazes, amethysts and others

Attraction: the mining works “Taliyan” (picking up samples of sceptre-shaped amethyst crystals); the mining works “Mokrusha” ( it became famous from the end of 19th century in the Urals, when fine samples of cleavelandite, smoke crystal, garnet, “roses” of mica, needles and sheaves of tourmaline and fine blue topazes were extracted); picking up samples of barrel-shaped and fusiform greenish-blue corundum in vicinities of the village Murzinka; the mining works “Startsevaya”, which is famous for its fine aquamarines and heliodors (here it is possible to find lepidolite, microcline, smoky quartz, grass-green beryl and beryl and topaz which are decorated with fine figures of etching and have freakish forms); the quarry “Mogol” with pegmatite vein (tourists can find samples of crystal, smoky quartz, cleavelandite, mica, heliodor and topazes).
